Examiners are recruited according to a range of criteria. These include expertise in language (English and LOTE), qualifications and/or experience in translation and interpreting, tertiary qualifications in a related field, references in relation to competency and character, and length of residence in Australia. If you are interested in becoming a NAATI Examiner then please read the Examiner Appointment Criteria and the Examiner Terms and Conditions.

Examiner appointments are made by the Board of Directors.
