Viewing of Marked Translator Tests
>Home >Accreditation and Testing >Viewing of Marked Translator Tests

All candidates in Australia may also request to view their marked test papers (translation only) by completing an application to view translation papers form and returning it to NAATI with the appropriate fee. This procedure is carried out, subject to strict requirements, in the NAATI Office in your state or territory. Candidates should understand that in accordance with these requirements, extensive note taking from the examination paper or photocopying is not permitted. Candidates may view the test paper/s, but are not permitted to remove them from the NAATI Office nor take copies. (This service is not available to candidates outside of Australia)
Viewing of translation tests must take place within three (3) months of the date of the result letter. NAATI normally destroys all papers approximately nine (9) months after the test date.

All NAATI test papers and tapes are and remain at all times the property of NAATI. At the test, NAATI provides each candidate with the test paper or tape for the sole purpose of taking the test, and on the condition that the test paper or tape is returned immediately upon the conclusion of the candidate’s participation in the test.

NAATI does not return answer papers and tapes to candidates, nor does it release copies of exam papers and tapes.

To protect the anonymity of both the candidate and examiner, direct communication between candidates and the examiners is not permitted. Candidates may direct correspondence to the Accreditation Manager or the CEO.

Candidates should note that because NAATI is not an “agency” as defined in the Freedom of Information Act 1982, it is not under any obligation to comply with the Freedom of Information Act 1982. Further, examination materials are specifically exempted from the Act.
