There are many pathways to gain a NAATI certification or recognised practising credential. Each pathway to a certification has a number of prerequisites you will need to satisfy before you can sit a certification test.
All pathways will require you to complete some form of training prior to submitting an application to NAATI. You can learn more about training requirements here.
Some pathways will require you to meet NAATI standards for language, ethical and/or intercultural competencies. These may include:
- Meeting the English proficiency standard set by NAATI. This may require sitting a formal English proficiency test (e.g. IELTS). Click here to learn more.
