AUSIT Translation Competition

Expression of Interest The AUSIT Education Committee (AEC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from translation students and other individuals to participate in the 2020 AUSIT Translation Competition (LOTE into English), which is open for the Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, Korean and German languages. The AEC also invites EOIs from certified translators to be assessors in the competition. EOIs must be submitted online by 24 July 2020. Queensland Preparing Interpreters Project

Scholarship Program for Queensland Interpreters of Languages in Demand NAATI and AUSIT have come together to offer a training fund to support access by practising or potential interpreters to an online course until a full face-to-face Diploma of Interpreting can be delivered in Queensland. Training interpreters is the key to overcoming these barriers; however, Queensland, unlike other states in Australia, provides face-to-face interpreting training only in Mandarin and Japanese.
