Victoria: COVID-19 Vaccinations for Interpreters

The Victorian Government has advised that interpreters that visit healthcare settings are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe and voluntary – the more people who are vaccinated, the greater the protection for those vaccinated and the whole community.  Vaccination clinics are available in convenient locations across Victoria. COVID-19 Updated Advice for Candidates

With restrictions being eased across the country, NAATI is pleased to advise that we have recommenced in person Certified Provisional Interpreter (CPI) and Certified Interpreter (CI) testing in all states except Victoria. Due to the challenges of maintaining social distancing in Certified Translator (CT) testing, we are developing an online testing platform and expect this to be available to candidates nationally from mid- September 2020. Effective 25 May 2020 As most people would be aware there has been significant disruptions to Australian society from COVID19 which is impacting much of the world. With restrictions now being eased across the country, NAATI is pleased to advise that we will be recommencing in person Certified Provisional Interpreter and Certified Interpreter testing from 13 July 2020.
