Court Interpreting in Family Violence Matters PDA1027
Are you looking for specialised, practical training to equip you with the skills and confidence to interpret in family violence court? This online short course combines self-paced learning activities (approximately 3 hours) with an interactive online workshop (2 hours). You’ll engage with innovative and relevant learning materials, including an animation of an interpreted court hearing and video interviews with a Magistrate and other court professionals.
In the online workshop you’ll put what you’ve learnt directly into practice, discuss challenges with peers, and ask an experienced practitioner any questions you may have. You’ll complete the course with an enhanced understanding of family violence court settings, and a variety of resources to support you in the future.
This course is designed for practising interpreters based in Victoria in all languages who want to gain confidence to work in this specialised area.

Fees: $100
$90 (10% discount for current members of AUSIT, ASLIA and Professionals Australia)
$50 (50% discount if you have completed our Court Interpreting PD course)
Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course, and will be eligible to earn 20 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.3 or 1.4 of the NAATI Recertification Professional Development Catalogue)
