NAATI adds Bangladesh to testing locations

The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) is pleased to announce that certain professional translator accreditation tests can now be sat in Bangladesh.

In announcing the decision, NAATI CEO Mr Mark Painting said "it is an important step in our development to be able to offer the opportunity to as many people as possible seeking an interest in undertaking a NAATI assessment for accreditation. We have had considerable interest from individuals in this region."

NAATI currently offers professional translator accreditation testing in over 16 overseas locations in addition to every Australian capital city. "International testing locations are identified based on demand and our ability to ensure a suitable testing environment. The locations are reviewed regularly to ensure the criteria is maintained" stated Mr Painting.

Interested applicants are able to apply now to sit for the first round of Bangladesh-based testing in September 2016.

Details and dates for future overseas testing rounds will be made available on the NAATI website.
