NAATI seeks new panel of experts

The NAATI Board of Directors has recently approved the establishment of a new committee to provide advice on a range of industry policy issues and to support NAATI in managing some of the most significant changes in its 40-year history.

In announcing the decision to create the Technical Reference Advisory Committee (TRAC), Chair of the NAATI Board Kerry Stubbs said that “this is a very challenging but exciting time for NAATI and the sector more broadly”.

“We are seeking industry leaders to assist the Board and management in this transition.”

Ms Stubbs also paid tribute to the previous committees, “the Professional Reference Group (PRG) has provided a valuable connection to the industry in recent years and the Qualifications Assessment and Advisory Committee (QAAC) has provided expert advice on several policy areas including the administration of NAATI approved courses, over many years".

The new committee will absorb these responsibilities and more.

NAATI CEO Mark Painting expects a lot of interest from the sector and said he “looks forward to working with a group of highly respected leaders in the profession”.

“This group will provide valuable technical and practical advice across a wide scope and will be able to contribute to any issue relevant to the sector” he added.

Interested applicants should look through the selection information and are encouraged to contact the CEO (Mark Painting) on (02) 6260 3035 to discuss the requirements and the selection process in more detail.

Applications will close on Thursday 29 September 2016 and should be submitted to board@naati.com.au.

The TRAC is scheduled to commence its term in early 2017.
