PD opportunity: mental health interpreting short course

Applications are now open for Monash University's Health Interpreting professional development short course, to be held in May-June 2017 in Melbourne.

This course will examine the principles and practices associated with interpreting in healthcare settings. Topics covered include the healthcare system, communication between medical practitioners and patients, and special considerations when working with patients from CALD backgrounds.

The short course will also include presentations from experts in the healthcare field and experienced interpreters, and practical interpreting exercises to establish best practice when working in this field.
