Interpreting scholarships will soon be available for aspiring Queensland interpreters under the Interpreter Training Boost Program. The program, a partnership between the Queensland Government, TAFE SA and 2M Language Services, will offer scholarships from early 2022 for up to 120 Queenslanders wanting to pursue a career as an interpreter, including subsidised NAATI certification testing fees.

The program aims to support those who speak languages from new and emerging communities, including Chin languages, Farsi, Thai, Oromo, Kinyarwanda, Kurdish languages and Tigrinya, among others which are in demand in the state.

Learn more from the Queensland Government here.

If you are an aspiring interpreter in Queensland who is interested in the scholarship program, you can complete an Expression of Interest to 2M here.
