Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Languages Training Calendar

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language interpreters are invited to join us online to connect with other interpreters, refresh your skills, and work towards or maintain your certification.

Please RSVP to iip@naati.com.au to sign up for a session and we will send you an invitation, including the link to join.

We also advertise general professional development opportunities on our website here. These are open to translators and interpreters from all languages.

Current online training towards CPI certification for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages

Once you have completed EC, IC and CPI preparation, and feel ready for testing, please talk to the IIP team about arranging a testing workshop. This will involve opportunities for practice, sitting a practice test, and the certification test. This is normally conducted over a 4 day face-to-face workshop.

In 2022 we will be looking for opportunities to provide testing online via video where possible.

Professional Development Opportunities

These sessions are designed for certified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language interpreters who are looking to build on their professional skills and maintain their certification by earning professional development (PD) points. They are all delivered online. Non-certified interpreters and trainers are also welcome to attend, but prior interpreting experience will be assumed.
