A new Recognised Practising Translator (RPT) pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages is now available.
Developed in consultation with translators and language organisations, the pathway explains the training and evidence practitioners need to apply for a NAATI translation credential. It responds to growing demand for translation services, the need to address quality issues, and provides a clearer route to professional recognition.
A lack of training opportunities has long been a barrier to translation credentials. We are grateful that All Graduates has made their Introduction to Community Translation online course available, which is helping to fill this gap.
Visit the NAATI website to explore the RPT pathway, or email us at iip@naati.com.au if you are interested in gaining a translation credential, or are interested in enrolling in the online course.
